| I sure hope not. They sure need to hurry up and get it done. Gas prices and therefore sales could sure change in a year much less 4 years. | |

| Transit Connect with a 1.0 EcoBoost. lol
You can bank on it not having a solid front axle.

| I've read some info on the AdvanTEK Dana gears.
They don't necessarily mean "solid axles". The entire article might end up being pure bullshit.

| I'd heard the rumor of solid axles prior too so hopefully even if it is a BS article, it still comes out to be true. | |

| Too many 'what ifs' to make any calls on what is or isn't yet. This is simply a test mule. No one really knows what is being tested, from a simple component to the entire vehicle. I seriously doubt Ford will just adopt the world Ranger for our market. | |

| They just showed the 2019 Ford Ranger today at the 2018 NAIAS.
They will only be available in Extra Cab and Quad Cab models, no Single Cab available. One powertrain is available too; a 2.3L Ecoboost I4 w/10 speed auto tranny, no manual, no V6, and no Diesel option. The same powertrain in the Mustang makes 310 HP and 350 lb. ft. of torque.
I do like how they didn't go crazy with the front ends either. It looks like the Ranger that is available in the rest of the world.

| The new Ranger looks bigger than the past versions. I know a lot of people liked the old model. My experience was only with 4 single cabs that we had at work. I found them to be a rough ride, terrible on gas considering their size. We had an A... hole boss that when he wanted to punish workers would pair two big guys in a Ranger. They were over 6' and heavy and it looked like they were driving a clown car. In defense, we also had a few S-10's that were just as bad room wise. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Too bad they only offer the one engine option. I'm not a fan of those buzzy ecoboost engines. It's always funny to hear the youngsters with those buzzy Mustang's with hollowed out exhausts floor it as if we all should be jealous. | |

| They definitely need to offer at least one other engine choice in these new Rangers..
Not to mention that some people simply will not buy a pickup with a 4-banger in it. The 2.7L Ecoboost V6 would be a good option..

| I wish the new colorado would have been more S10 sized and chassis designed for an I4 only. 3 engines: - naturally aspirated gas - turbo gas - turbo diesel
