Drivers report a shutter, shake, and then rapid power loss.

Quote :
The federal government is investigating reports that EcoBoost engines in Ford F-150 pickup trucks lose power during acceleration, according to the Associated Press.

The AP reports that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received 95 such reports, and the government estimates that about 400,000 F-150 trucks from model years 2011 to 2013 are invovled.

The drivers reported losing power during hard acceleration. Many of the incidents happened in humid or wet weather.

Ford is cooperating with the investigation.

This saga has been going on for two years. Seems that its affecting a limited number of models or those in certain climates or conditions. Regardless Ford should have addressed it with it's halo half ton truck engine long ago. No more free pass on the Ford didn't take tax payer money public good will. Its time to start conducting business with no excuses vehicles, else there's healthy competition that appears poised to eat away our your share.
