Two piece block only makes me think there will be more gaskets to fail. Will you now have to worry about warping part of the engine block like you do the heads? I'm sure Ford has done the stress and durability testing on this but I wouldn't want to be the guinea pig on the first run.

I wonder what the mileage payoff will be. It would have to be significant to get me in one. Upper 20's significant.

Two piece block?
Google oil leaks on the Cadillac Northstar and see how many come up from the split crank case on that model.

Power wise it is leaps and bounds ahead of the MPI 2.8L 60* GM V6 from 25yrs ago.
