I noticed that Jason finally received a reply from Mark Williams about the issues in the forums back there. In a nut shell, he's happy we're hanging in there and asking for suggestions to improve the place, but in the end can't give any clue as to when anything will be done there to improve the site and the SPAM issues. It's really unfortunate. There's a lot of decent guys over there that frequent the site and consider it their Forum Home, even the ones that don't post much. Too bad.

Anyway, hopefully we can generate some good traffic here and get some discussions going. It's going to be a slow, drawn out process. Please have patience. Unlike Mark, I can promise you that if something is not right here, or just needs attention, something WILL be done about it. Thanks guys.

I don't think they have any interest in shutting it down to be honest. I think they'll just let the tumbleweeds and cob webs take over and forget about it, kind of just like they have already done. They just don't seem to care.

What they need to do is have someone moderate the blog. It looks like it's a Wordpress board and can be moderated.

Where else were the spammers and brats at anyway?

The sheer indifference by MW will be its downfall. The canned responses to peoples concerns, and the empty promises of "future plans" are really getting stale.

If it wasn't for a handfull of the moderators going as far as they did imagine how soon it would have been overun. It's just us 'old curmudgeons' anymore I guess!

It won't take long to clear that place if the gay porn SPAM continues. Like Ulmus said, appoint e few moderators for the Blog to sort that mess out and it could be half decent, but Mark doesn't seem to give a crap.

It's a shame, we've all been there a long time, but the way it was run after Mike left was unacceptable. My hats off to Jason and Evan for working so hard to keep things running.

Sadly spammers infest every site. Not much can be done except clean it up when it happens. The bigger this place gets the more it will be targeted. It's unfortunate but it will happen.

. I have to say it is very nice coming to a forum and do nothing I forgot what it's like. I used to get done chopping and smashing the spam when I got done and left.
