Changed both fuel filters, oil filter and oil.
Overall, its about 698% easier on this truck than the Ram/Cummins.
Oil filter is a breeze on the Ford. Had to go thru the wheel well on the Ram, then do gymnastics to get the filter fished out, and back in. Have to jack that side up, pull the wheel, and go thru that bullshit afterthought of a method to get it done. Older models could be accessed from the bottom. New axles/suspension up front made that impossible.
Ford is wide open access from the bottom. Filter is right next to the drain plug. 10 min job total. No mess, no fuss. Just an old school easy change.
Water seperator/filter on the Ram was up against the bed, hard to reach. Got diesel all over you when changing that one. One under the cab was a cartridge style with a shit plastic cannister who's lid was almost impossible to reach, and even harder to unscrew.
Ford initial filter is right at the front of the fuel tank, pop a valve to drain, then 5 easy bolts to drop the filter housing. 10 min job, 9 mins of which is draining the housing of fuel. Under hood filter is 3 quick connects, 1/2 turn on the filter. It pops out, new one drops in, half turn to secure it, then 3 quick connects and its done.
13qts of oil, oil filter and 2 fuel filters. $135 bucks for the parts and oil. WalMart carries 5qt jugs of MotorCraft Diesel oil specifically made for the 6.7 for $20 a jug and the MotorCraft oil filter for $18. Amazon has the MotorCraft fuel filter set for $56. Fuel filters are good for 30k, oil is good for about 10k.
