| GM surprises with a new 4cyl 2.7L gas/turbo engine, 310hp/348tq, peak tq down to 1500rpm, peak hp ~5600rpm. It's another ecoboost like engine. Hopefully GM addressed fuel dilution, carbon buildup, and general reliability questions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVr9V72xurA | |

| Sounds like it has potential. Lots of new tech. The flatter torque curve of the T4 should make it a nice work truck that does light loads. | |

| I have a feeling GM is going to make a straight six version of this engine also , if my figures are corect the straight six would be . 465 horses 522 pounds of torque

| Its either going to be impressive of an engine in that size vehicle or fall flat on its face. Im eager to see. I hope it works out well. Crazy to think how far we have come in the last 10 and 20 years in engine tech. | |

| I personally think these smaller displacement, buzzy turbo engines will be stepping-stone engines until something better comes along.

| With the low RPM torque curve of that big turbo 4 you should be able to keep the rpms pretty low in daily driving.
Have a loaner Silverado with a 6.2L/8A right now and most driving is under 3k rpm for me.

| For those who haven't heard, the 3.0L I6 power specs have been leaked.
282 HP, 450 lb/tq
Towing sounds too low at 7,800lbs when Ford is listing their 3.0L at 11,000+

| 275/65R18 is the stock size, so 32's.
Just another useless GM appearance package. Someone here in the building at work bought a 2019 Silverado. IMHO, its the uglist truck on the road. The GMC version looks far and away better.

| There is a Chevrolet display at the Nashville home/remodel expo this weekend. Have a red CC/SB with the blacked out trim, wife liked it I didn't. To be honest she said she liked the black grill, didn't really comment on the whole truck. The list a 3.0L Diesel as an engine option but still now specs.

| I will admit, I didn't care for the looks of this truck when I first saw photos of it. But, after seeing one in person, it definitely looks better than it does in pictures posted online..
I still wouldn't buy one. But, it's not a bad looking truck. I would still take the new Sierra over the new Silverado, though..

| Ram finally took the #2 market share from Chevrolet on the 2019 first quarter. I guess GM will need to put more cash on the hood. There might be some half ton discount wars. | |
