| We had snow predicted here earlier but I just looked and its gone now. I'd like to get the blizzard we had last year again, average of 12 inches. | |

| We are supposed to get some flurries tomorrow....when the asscasters downplay it like this, it generally means we'll get about 5 inches of ice instead. | |

| We are supposed to get between 1" and 4" tonight. The bad part is that it won't get above freezing for a few days, single digits at night. I brought in firewood to 2 days worth, the wood shed is close enough to run out to. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| If the ground wasn't so warm, we would have had 2 to 3 inches yesterday, ended up with just a dusting hanging around and just enough icy spots on the roads to paralyze the entire DFW interstate system. The snow melted, then pooled and refroze into ice patches on the roads.
Apparently, there was a contest to race as fast as you could into those patches and see just how big of an explosion you could cause....I missed that memo...
12 here right now, gonna be in the 70's by Tuesday.
The entire state of TX was below freezing this morning....a rare event.

| Apparently I got the worst of it. It snowed here a few inches and stuck for a bit. Ice patches everywhere but few wrecks. But somehow my house was selected to get it pipes frozen. The blizzard of 2015 with an average of 12 inches and howling winds they didn't freeze but with this no wind 1-2 inch dusting they froze up like a rock. | |

| So far I have at least 10". It's light and fluffy as the temps are low. At least it isn't the wet heavy stuff. I have the wood stove burning and all the kids are home. It's the first time our puppy that we got in Georgia has seen snow. She love it. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Left for work this morning, it was 3F. Thursday will be in the low 60's. 15 day forecast shows it to be pretty mild for this time of year with daytime highs in the 40's and 50's. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| The Forecasters are going back and forth for Saturday night, it's either gonna be a huge ice storm, or 60 and rainy.

| Went to bed last night and there was 6" of snow on the ground. Got up this morning and it was all gone. Must be that global warming we have been hearing about. Or the heavy rain that came through last night. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Got a winter storm watch up for here, Sunday night through Tuesday. Up to 6" snow and .25" ice forecast .... gonna be fun getting to work. The all seasons on the car ain't really up to the task ... dedicated snows next winter for sure. Don't own a sled, don't ski .... winter bites and just means more work. | |

I use to be one of those guys that didn't think there was a need to run winter tires. Lived with all seasons for way too long. About ten or twelve years back I put a set of winters on the wife's car. Oh my god, I could kick myself. The difference is huge. I've run dedicated winters ever since, and as an added bonus, get an insurance rebate for doing so.

| We run all season on our vehicles. We get between 2-6 winter storms that can get as much as 24" of snow. The snow usually doesn't stay long. Dedicated snow tires for 4 vehicles would be cost prohibitive. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.
