New snow overnight

We got around 18" so far. It should stop snowing in a few hours. Getting a lot of wind off the ocean (50+ mph). Tonight it will go down to 10F and with the wind chill well below 0.  I just started the wood stove, bought more gas yesterday for the generator. We have a good chance of losing power when the wind cranks up.

Gonna be 70 today, snowing and 13 on Thursday. Texas.

Thursday we will get into the 50's and rain to wash away the snow. I just spent the last two hours with the snowblower and shovel. Luckily, the snow is very light. Even at 2' the blower had no problem.

Could be entertaining.

Freezing rain started about 6pm last night, lasted til around 3am, switched over to sleet. Couple inches of that over a nice base layer of ice...switching over to snow anytime now. Good old fashioned ice storm. Great times!

We are supposed to get that storm Friday into Saturday. Being so close to the ocean I'm guessing it will be a rain affair. Over the weekend it gets cold again but all next week high of 40.

Supposed to bounce back into the 40's by Saturday....at least it will be a short event

Seeing that ice, I worry that power will go out. From pictures of your property, IIRC your utilities are underground? The other side of my street is underground but I have overhead power.

Underground in the neighborhood, but on poles getting here. Friends up the road from us have been out since 11pm last night.

They cut back trees just this summer along the road off the lines, or we'd be out right now for sure.
