| I don't see what the big deal about GM just making their own trucks , they already have the hard part done which is making the cab , the frame and the rest is cake , I may be over simplifying it but that's the way I see it . | |

| They already have as you said the cab assembly, doors, interior etc. might need a new floor pan but that's not too big a deal. They have engines and transmissions, many axle suppliers out there as well.
Ram builds their 4/5500s at the same plant that does the 2/3500s.

| One of my brothers drove a new Navistar truck made for hauling fuel and oil.
It spent so much time in the shop it was eventually purchased back. They could never get their emissions system to work right on it, among other things.
Probably explains why Navistar wants a different power train, theirs just doesn't work. | |
