2015 Chevrolet Colorado Now Offers Box-Delete Option
Commercial Market Gets New Midsize Option

Quote :
Cab-chassis trucks are typically fullsize, but for some businesses, a smaller, nimbler, and more fuel-efficient option is more optimal. Customers looking for that option now have a new choice with the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado with the new box-delete option, announced at the 2015 NTEA work truck show. The box-delete option has been assigned the Regular Production Order (RPO) code ZW9 and gets buyers a $300 discount over a comparable model with a bed. The option will be offered exclusively on 2WD extended cab Work Truck models and will be offered only with the 3.6L V-6 and six-speed automatic.

The package has a 2,200-pound payload (including the weight of the accessory bed or addition) and a 6,001-pound gross vehicle weight rating. Trucks come with temporary rear taillights bolted to the frame and have the rear bumper deleted. The ZW9 package also includes the Z82 trailering package and G80 locking rear differential. As with the standard Colorado Work Truck model, the rear seat can be deleted for added protected cargo space. The fuel filler location remains in the same place as the regular Colorado but is also offered with an accessory fuel filler for a service body that will be shipped loose for upfitter installation. The box delete option will be available for order in mid-April.

Hmmm, do you take the $300 credit for the box delete or just sell the box and tailgate for more?

Do upfitters give you credit towards your purchase for the factory bed?
