| My mother had a heart attack the day after Christmas, we got her into the hospital to find out she needed to be transferred to one that could try to do something. Ended up she needed a heart valve replaced along with a bypass. But before they could do that, they needed to open one carotid. Got all that arranged, she came through both those surgeries fine, but the bypass wasn't flowing as good as they wanted. So they did another cath and put in a stent the next morning. All the doctors agreed everything was great. Couldn't have worked out better. Then, late in the evening, she went into arrest and even though they tried for an hour, they couldn't get her back. She passed away Wed, Jan 7. We buried her on Saturday the 10th. Through it all, she fought it with everything she had. May 25, 1941-January 7, 2015, she was 73. | |

| Sorry for your loss Jason. I was wondering why we haven't heard from you the past couple of weeks. It's never easy losing a parent, no matter what the details. Take care. | |

| God Bless Jason. My wife lost her Dad on Christmas Eve. Seems we're all about this age when the seriously unpleasantries occur. It's not enjoyable but something we all deal with. Again God Bless. | |

| Thanks guys, my wife lost her aunt on the same day, and had her funeral earlier the same day as my mom's.
Me and my brothers are the old guard now. No one left older than us.
It was tough on the grandkids because mom reveled in being "Granny", it's what she lived for. That's what we will have put on her head stone, name, birth, death and as big as we can get it, "Granny".

| Sorry for you loss.
We have many relatives in their 70s/80s so the time of all the weddings is long over and we know what comes next for family gatherings.....

| Sorry for your loss, Jason ... it's never easy and it's the one thing I don't like about getting older- losing the people that you really care about. Lost my brother January 2 from colon cancer and at 57 he was way too young. Best damn mechanic I ever knew ... he had his own shop for 34 years but always had the time to help his big brother keep his beater fleet running.
Hope time eases the pain and just the good memories remain.

| Been a bad year, my brother lost his youngest son this past July and now this. Being strong for the grandkids got us through it though. They are the ones taking it the hardest.
The grand daughters all picked out a ring of moms. My son Zach got her snub nosed 38 she kept in her night stand. It came from her dad.
I got the 4 grand daughters together after the funeral and told them they got passed down the most important thing of all, one that will never fade and only grow. VETO power over everything. Granny taught them well, and now it's theirs. And every time they wield it, they'll remember where it came from, no matter how old they get.

| Sorry Jason. Losing a family member is never easy. Big families are great until the times like this.
Best thing that helped me was the belief that the loved one was in a better place. That helps as much as any words.

| I planned to take a nice long ride on the Harley this past weekend, best weather in months. Got to ride the toilet instead, epic stomach virus. Weak as a kitten now.
Got a nuclear stress test for the heart on Wednesday, if I can stop crapping every 5 seconds.
Great phucking start to the year.
At least the doc will be happy I'm losing weight.

| It goes well. Still at MA Bell and still trying to get a job elsewhere so I can move up. Currently waiting to hear back from TTU about a position there. Wife and I are looking into adoption. My dad spent Christmas in the hospital getting half his lower digits cut off; combination of agent orange, diabetes and not taking care of himself. Other than that, so far, life is good! Gotta take the ups with the downs. | |

| I agree. Maggie, Hannah and myself are heading to DFW the first weekend of February but I don't know if we will have any time for relaxing. Hannah is going to a dance competition and it will be all day events with 6 other kids. I haven't talked to Bobby in years unfortunately. I think I will text him. | |
