Mercedes SLS AMG vs Holden V8 Supercar vs Red Bull F1 car

How much faster is a purpose-built V8 racecar than a V8 road car? And how much faster is a V8 F1 car than both of those?

A couple of big name MotoGP guys there with Doohan and Stoner. Stoner retired from MotoGP last year and just began his Holden car racing career.

They did something similar 20 years ago or so at Laguna Seca. I think it was with a Nissan Z, a street bike, and a MotoGP bike. They had some fun with Freddie Spencer standing next to his bike while the others were doing their lap. He put his helmet and gloves on and still passed them at the end.

Put a production ZR-1 'vette against that V8 super car and see what happens. They can leave the starting line together even.

From Wiki...
2013 Corvette ZR1 = 638 hp and 604 lb/ft and weighs 3400 lbs
2013 V8 Supercar = 600-650 hp and weigh just under 3000 lbs (couldn't find torque)

Probably be a good (close) race but I suspect the Supercar would edge out the Vette being purpose built and all.
