That time of the year again..Getting things loaded. Heading out Thursday morning, staying the night about 2/3rds the way up in Clayton NM. Be there Friday around noon or so. Staying 6-8 days or so.

98% ready to roll. Need to throw in some clothes, foods, regular drinks, button it up and roll out in the morning. Starting capacitor on my older Craftsman air compressor is taking a shit...got it running long enough to top off pressure in all the tires...I'll fix that when I get back home.

That looks like it will be a bunch of fun. Your areas are pretty remote so you should be fine but there's a slew of crazy RV stories this summer.
They say traffic is bad and some national forest space is closed. AZ recently closed large national forest areas related to the drought, fire risk, and excess people looking to get outdoors. There's stories of RV owners needing to check into hotels. And of course desirable RV park locations have been sold out for months. Hopefully this isn't the new normal.
We're planning to visit Montana in a month or so. Fingers crossed.

Looks like it'll be a fun trip!
Unfortunately the pressure on the parks will only increase as the population keeps increasing. World population has quadrupled in less than 100 yrs.

Worked pretty good considering the rain and clouds...barely had to use the generator. Mainly to top off the batteries in the evenings

The mpg calculator is surprisingly accurate. Round trip stats for the trip.
