Broken foot ? Empty
PostSubject: Broken foot ?   Broken foot ? EmptyJune 14th 2017, 9:37 pm

I ran over my foot with an electric pallet jack a few weeks ago at work and now I feel a bump across the top of my foot , could I have broken the bones on the top of my foot and still been able to walk ? I am thinking the bones might have been broken and fused and healed and calcified .

Could be that they did calcify. I would guess that your next move would be to see the orthopedic surgeon and get an x-ray and MRI.

It is possible to break top bones and still walk. When I was a teenager my horse stepped/fell on my foot. We went orthopedic surgeon, he said in adults surgery was pretty the only way to fix that kind of break. But he was hesitant for surgery because of growth during the healing, so it was monitored through the next and final growth spurt. All I had to was keep it wrapped and took it easy for two weeks and kept it wrapped a few months as I went about normally. Now I am sure with technology and better surgeries I would've had surgery next to immediately. It's simple if you don't let it go.

You need to see a doctor asap. My dad broke his foot a few years ago and he walked on it for over a week. He finally relented to my sisters nagging (and the pain) and they had to do surgery and pins because he let it go so long the bones starting getting out of alignment.

I went in yesterday and had a few X rays and no breaks or fractures but there is swelling so the doctor gave me some stretchy type wrap for my foot .

At least now you know for sure that it is not broken.
