| Looks like GM took a back seat to the incentives Ford was throwing down. Ram also making leaps too. | |

| Also interesting to note is how long the crew-cab versions of the half-tons were sitting on the lots before selling. 2014 Ford F-150 SuperCrew: 13 days 2014 Toyota Tundra CrewMax: 24 days 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab: 42 days 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab: 71 days Cars.comI didn't see the '14 GMC Sierra and '14 Nissan Titan on the list. Would it be safe to assume that they landed somewhere between two weeks and two months? Possibly.

| The competition opened up a can of whoop ass on GM. There's too much competition for that new design to sell without substantial cash on the hood.
For the last several weeks a local Ram dealer has had a slew of shiny new RAM pickups lined up in an unused, unsecured back area of a large nearby shopping mall. The factory must be giving good dealer incentives to buy quantity.

| Great stats Greg. I understand the GM has upped the incentives on the GM Card for January doing the $1000, $2000, or $3000 top off of earnings, individual situations vary. Not sure how the other traditional incentives have changed for the month of January. | |

| GM ends monthly sales call with analysts, media - Quote :
- DETROIT -- General Motors said today that it will no longer host a monthly conference call with auto analysts and journalists to discuss the prior month's U.S. sales results.
"We are ending the call to concentrate on conferences and other forums that allow us to discuss our strategy and our result with a long-term view and in a very holistic way," GM spokesman Jim Cain said during what he said would be the company's last regularly scheduled sales call.
GM has hosted monthly calls with top-level sales executives for at least the last 20 years. Analysts and reporters rely on the commentary for details about pricing, inventory, market dynamics and other factors that are not included in the company's press release and sales table.
GM joins Chrysler Group, Honda Motor Co., Nissan, Hyundai-Kia and other automakers that do not host a monthly call. Ford Motor Co., Toyota Motor Corp. and Volkswagen of America do host them.
The move comes after GM's decision last year to no longer publicly disclose monthly production numbers. Nearly all other major automakers disclose the number of cars and trucks produced at their North American plants each month, broken out by nameplate.
That move rankled many industry insiders, including suppliers that rely on the data to help plan their own production schedules. Automotive News
