| I've noticed the big sporting goods stores have reasonable ammo supply and prices have come down. I'm relatively new to buying 223/5.56 but 50 cents a round seems much better than 1.00 or even 0.70. Maybe things are finally giving way.
And gunbot.net has several sources for 45 cents/rnd and they aren't steel case. Looking good.

| That's still horrendous. Before all the hoarding started, .223/5.56 was .20-.25 per round. | |

| Ammo is easier to find now. I know my local Cabelas attempted to keep prices in check, while they did rise, not near as much as some stores like Cheaper Than Dirt.
In my area 9mm, .40 and .22LR is still constrained. 223 556 is relatively available at 45 to 60 cents per round.

| It is starting to loosen up. This past week I purchased 2-.223 50 round boxes from Cabelas at $24.99/box, still not cheap, but at least it is coming back. I've also got from Cabelas a backorder of 1000 rounds of 22Lr for $49. Freedom Munitions is a place you might want to check out. If you go to their site, click directly on In Stock and it will show what they have without going to each individual caliber. I've been told from the president of my gun club that this month companies are making handgun rounds, next month rifle, then by month 3 things should be caught up. I don't think we will see pre Newtown prices again. https://www.freedommunitions.com/shoppingcart.asp?Check=True ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

https://www.freedommunitions.com/shoppingcart.asp?Check=True If so, that's great news. I didn't realize the ammo companies synchronized production like that.

| I didn't either, don't know if I buy into it 100%. All along we have been told that people have been hoarding, now from what I am told, the reps have said all their military ammo obligations have been met and they can now start making it for the public again. I guess we shall see. Next weekend I'm going up to New Hampshire for a week. There is a Wal-Mart there that usually has a good stock of ammunition. I'm pretty caught up, but I can never resist buying more. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Similar in that I went in about a month ago. They didn't have what I needed, one gentlemen was at the purchase counter getting the "one box limit" speech from the Walmart associate. I offered to buy him a box, then he could pay me for them. He politely said no thanks. | |

| Glad it's clearing up for you guys. The Wal-Marts in my area are empty! The gun show had .22lr going for $60 a brick. ____________________________________ Why not?
