Friend of mine caught covid from his work a couple weeks ago, was here the night before he tested positive. I tested positive right after, as I was getting over it, wife tested positive. Then as she was getting over it earlier this week, my son tested positive...
I started sneezing and nasal congestion again last nite. Dry cough, all the same crap as 2 weeks ago. Tested positive AGAIN, this morning.
Went this whole time never getting it, now I've got it 2 weeks apart.
We are all fully vaxxed with a booster. Seems it's as effective as Joe Biden.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it goes away quick.

Sorry to hear. We have a few people who caught it twice at work too. Meanwhile others appear to have not caught it once. If china, S. Korea or any other county couldn't stop the spread with their extreme lockdowns it's not realistic to think anyone will.

Pretty much over it now, still drag assing around some though...Sunday and Monday were pretty crappy days. Newer variant is like a super bad head cold mainly. Couldn't sleep or get any rest for 3 or 4 days...caused probably the worst chest pains I've ever had, even before the bypass a few years back...
It hits hard and fast, and seems to fade almost as fast.
Overall review...Not recommended, ZERO stars...we should nuke China repeatedly.

Glad you are feeling better.
It doesn't seem to be going away. Our county has been seeing about 2500 cases per day for the last 5 weeks or so. One of the state juvenile detentions facilities has 30 cases out of the total 150 population.
School starts next week so we'll see how that pans out.

Show up to work Monday and my team member isn't here. Get a text from him that he has covid (non-vax, 1st time). States felt symptoms late Friday night at work, we work 2nd shift. The WTF is he didn't mention anything to me for 2.5 days.
So I check out corporate website and it states if exposed and unvax'd a 5 day isolation period. Per CDC I was exposed, again, and corp site says they follow CDC guidelines. Mention it to foreman, they blow it off, go to plant medical and they state we don't follow those rules here. If you feel good, go back to work.
Covid procedure was supposed to be get tested AFTER 5 days. I tested negative but at the 2.5 day mark. At this point out of 3 shifts of maintenance 2 of 9 haven't caught it. Of those who did, the ones that caught it twice now had been fully vaccinated. They also complained about how bad the symptoms were for them.
Wife thinks I'm too ornery to get sick.

Once a year, we bring in all of our remote sales team for training, etc...also have a company get together out at the double A baseball game during the same week....
Someone in attendance had covid this year, so everyone that attended came down with it last week. Including one of my brothers.
I didn't go in for either event. Too damn hot for a baseball game, and I can't stand to be around sales.

Now my 2nd coworker is out with covid and I'm flying solo maintenance in my department.

Management will remember your dedication come bonus time, and give themselves a larger one while telling you to suck eggs.

Last Saturday I was exposed at a BBQ at my brothers house. Feeling under the weather the last 2 days, sore throat, headache, slight cough. Tested at home yesterday and today, negative each time. I'm not convinced the home test kits work on the latest strain.

Biden's China kits don't work. The BinaxNow ones lit up like a Christmas tree.

I used the BinaxNow kit yesterday and today. Still Negative. It must just be a bad summer cold.

Rapid antigen tests are extremely accurate when they give a positive result. False negatives are more common. If you show symptoms with a negative antigen it is recommended to get a PCR test. That is my recollection anyway.

Well, it's been determined (by coworkers) I'm the super spreader. Of all 3 shifts of Maintenace mechanics I'm the only one who never tested positive now. Many production team members in the are have had it, couple passed away, and now latest boss is out with it.

Yesterday (Saturday) I went to CVS and got the new and improved vaccine. Don't feel bad today, little swelling and slightly sore if touched but otherwise not an issue. No lines, my wife and I were the only ones there getting the shot.
They asked if I wanted the flu shot but it is too early and will most likely be ineffective in Jan and Feb when it seems to be at it's peak. I will wait another 6 weeks or so to get it. If I don't get the shot I always get the flu. If I do get the flu, with the shot it is a very mild flu.

We all got the updated vaccine yesterday. This time we tried the Moderna and sure enough I experienced all the normal moderate side effects like low energy, chills, muscle aches, slight headache. Maybe the worst of was not being able to restfully sleep. I'm planning to lay low and charge the battery today.

I guess it was only a matter of time working at a high school; I tested positive for covid. It feels like a mild case of the flu so far. I started on medication, 3 pills twice a day.

Wife had a pretty bad case of the flu for a week. I dodged that one too.

Wife still has a bit of a lingering cough from our July infestation. Its odd how it hangs on months afterward for some.

My son also got it from me. He wouldn't get the vaccinations. It seems the anti-viral medications are helpful. I'll know in a day or so if he starts getting better.
My wife is scheduled to go on a cruise with her mother Saturday but first has to pass the covid test. So far they have been negative.

Still pretty lofty here. Regular is $4.69 and diesel is $5.09.
And the Biden admin is monitoring the limited supply of diesel so no worries there.
