That was no light smack!

I caught it on the news this morning. Saw Will Smith slap Chris Rock pretty hard and loud. I must say Chris took it pretty well. I have been a fan of both for a long time but the last Chris Rock stand up had too much whitey is bad in it. I don't know if he is racist or that was just to get laughs so I'm still open to see what he does next.
I'm sure Will Smith is having second thoughts about what he did but he did it in a fit of passion for his wife. He gets a pass from me on that one.

Things are falling apart nicely in Hollyweird. Hopefully his new movie has a short box office life and then fades into oblivion. On the bright side, this disaster couldn't have happen to a more appropriate movie story line. If I understand the movie's story line - angry self absorbed actor plays parent roll for two angry entitled tennis players. No thanks.

Smith was laughing when the joke first happened and then all of a sudden walks on stage. There was no passion for protecting his wife. What happened was he looked to his left, saw her face and said "oh shit, if I dont do something she is going to be emotionally 'entangled' with another guy again" and completely overreacted.
Everyone knows you go to these shows and its a mini roast. The "its funny untils its me" mentality dont fly.
Smith should have been escorted out immediately. As for charges, I dont know if I woulda filed any because they probably know each other and Rock is wondering wth is going on in Wills life for him to react like that on national TV.
