....
Translating a few hundred dollars into a few thousand dollars.
What if you ignore the light and maybe it's for something serious?
This was caused by a failed Catalytic Converter and back pressure overheated one bank of cylinders of this Honda.

Check Engine Light -Take It Seriously Empty
PostSubject: Re: Check Engine Light -Take It Seriously   Check Engine Light -Take It Seriously EmptyApril 17th 2021, 2:57 am

I recently wash my engine and had to use the water hose to rinse after doing the brushing with apc. After doing so, I saw the check engine light. I figured there might still be water on some areas that caused the check engine light to turn on. My question is, can I apply Dielectric grease on the alternator connector and fuse box terminals to prevent moisture and corrosion? I read this https://motoringcrunch.com/reviews/dielectric-grease/ and it seems to be a good thing to put on before doing an engine wash. Any thoughts?

The dielectric grease can't hurt. I put plastic bags over my fuse box under the hood and try to avoid electric parts when cleaning.
