| I picked up a 1987 Chevy V20 pickup yesterday , it has not run in 9 years we broke the engine loose (number two cylinder was rusted tight ) and she is running now but needs new freeze plugs as they are rusted through probably why it was sitting . | |

| Sweet! Should be TBI 350, Th400, np208, 9.5 rear and 10 bolt front?
Those look good in two tone as well.

Those look good in two tone as well. It has a 350 the four speed stick and 410 gears it still has the stock exhaust and radiator and the exhaust is still solid I did have to buy a new gear drive starter yesterday next is new freeze plugs and clutch slave and master cylinder .

I just removed the rear glass and there is quite a bit of rust around the seal area .

| I removed the front clip to pull the engine to replace the freeze plugs as they are rusted through , and there is quite a lot of rust on the cowl , I think it is going to be like a rat truck brush beater type of thing since the cab is so rusty . | |

| Hmm, I'm on the fence about pulling the clip. The engines come out pretty fast in those trucks. But, I have pulled the clips before too.
Still sounds like fun. | |

It is near ready to drive on the road , I still need to repair the read window opening as it is pretty rusty , I have never had a vehicle that needed so much work .

| Looking good. At least yours is running. My V30 is still sitting in the yard where I dropped it off. I did however put in an old starter (12V) and managed to fire it up with some hot wires to the pump and GP relay. So I now it does run, that is a relief right there. | |
