| If you make less than $46k a year you might qualify for some portion of assistance. SSA shows average income for the 2013 year to be $43,041. | |

| The government can't handle running the much smaller VA health system. The general public is so ignorant to think it will be able to run a country wide health care system. | |

| Short term bill to fund DHS failed in the House. Funding from now til September would have cost us $40B. Unbelievable the amount of money we spend to create the temporary illusion of security. | |

| The VA dismissed veteran Routh, loaded him up on antiphyocitics just long enough to have him kill Chris Kyle. America wants to hang Routh, but knows nothing about how the VA patted him on the butt, loaded him up on a cocktail of medication that would drive anyone that was sane, insane. Failure government once again. Endless war, multiple tours, takes a toll when your rotating the same guys two, three, four, eight times. Then not address their wounds, superficial or not. Ironically government killed Chris Kyle. Product of their own making. Long but good read, informative of Kyle and Routh. http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2013/06/03/in-the-crosshairs

| How dysfunctional is our country, we can't even pass a budget now. This is why we have appropriations bills where the passage or not shuts down the government. Last time I remember us passing a budget was 2004. Could be incorrect however. | |

| Problem would be just like last time. If they stand up for what's right, they will get blamed. The American public is largely uninformed and if they become informed they punish those screwing up the status quo which is spending on whatever is popular or what stops the criers which leads to more debt with no interest in how to pay it back and let the govt do whatever it wants as long as that doesn't screw up the status quo. | |

| A little check into the Obamacare (ACA) to validate the successes it's brought. http://time.com/4282054/obamacare-taxes/ - Quote :
- That’s a raw deal, especially as the Affordable Care Act has done nothing to lower insurance costs like its supporters claimed.
- Quote :
- The 2015 penalty—which is being assessed now—is $325 per adult and $162.50 per child, or 2% of household income, whichever is greater. The penalty increases in 2016 to $695 per adult and $347.50 per child, or 2.5% of household income, whichever is greater.
Penalty? BHO called it an penalty, Roberts called it a tax, and the government is free to tax the people at the stroke of a pen. Thanks "conservatives". Really standing strong on principals. - Quote :
- The penalties are even higher for those not eligible to receive premium subsidies under the law: $1,177 for 2015, rising to $1,450 this year.
- Quote :
- The employer mandate went into effect in 2015, forcing employers with 100 or more full-time employees to provide health insurance to most of their workers, and expanding to those with more than 50 employees beginning this year. Those that cannot afford the costs—which average $12,591 per employee for family coverage—face a tax penalty of either $2,000 or $3,000 per employee after the first 30 employees. So as an example, an employer with 100 full-time employees who can’t afford rising health-care costs could face over $100,000 in tax penalties.
- Quote :
- As for the private sector, a 2015 survey by the Society for Human Resource Management found that one-in-five businesses have already reduced or plan to reduce part-time work thanks to the Affordable Care Act, while another 5% have or plan to lay off employees. As the employer mandate expands and its penalties continue to worsen, more workers will find it harder to start their careers.

| I am one of the many conservatives that feel that Roberts betrayed us. He did everything he could to find a way to make it "constitutional" and said as much when he passed his ruling. Between that ruling and the one that changed what "State" and "state" each represented when it came to the state exchanged being allowed to subsidize costs, showed he is no longer a conservative or a free and impartial judge. Im no lawyer and even I saw that as pretty cut and dry as did Scalia but somehow Roberts redefined what each could mean. When it comes down to it he does what he can to at least help this administration. IF he will do the same for a future administration I don't know. | |

| And when they couldn't get to Scalia to turn him like they turned Roberts, he dies in the middle of nowhere, autopsy laws and procedures are bypassed and ignored, and another liberal assclown will be confirmed by THIS Senate before the election.
