Just bought my nephew a new Axial R/C Jeep for his fifth birthday this thing is bad ass , it has power out the wazoo , solid axles and flexes like a wet noodle , the dealer even threw in a battery and charger for free ( I think they are used as they were not in a box but its good ) beats the hell out of the stuff I had when I was his age .

Cool. The detail they put into those things is crazy.

I still have the original Grasshopper made by Tamiya that I bought for me and my oldest son over 30 years ago. I need new batteries and servos and it will still run. I had cut off the front suspension and put on a better oil dampened shocks and metal bearings, and a larger electric motor. They still sell them on Amazon, but less expensive then what I paid for them. A funny note to this story: My ex-bil called me at supper and asked what frequency was my controller? I told him, and he bought a better car but the same type controller. A month later we all drive to the ocean where there was a large parking lot, but at 15F in winter it was empty. I turned on my car and am going through adjustments when my brother in law puts his car down and turns the car on. Long story short, he bought his controller with the same frequency as my sons car (he didn't ask at the time what my sons frequency was) and his car shot across the parking lot and into a utility pole and shattered into many pieces. I still find it funny, him, not so much.
