Pentastar Enhancements to Improve Fuel Economy

Automotive News reports that the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee may be the first model to receive the updated engine, with the new Chrysler Town & Country and Jeep Cherokee also receiving updated V-6s. The powertrain enhancement may improve fuel economy on the Cherokee by as much as 25 percent, the article claims. Among the Detroit Three, the Chrysler Group is most dependent on truck and SUV sales for its profitability, so improvements in economy could have a significant impact on its overall Corporate Average Fuel Economy rating.
