| Don't know about your neck of the woods but in mine (western WI) I did a doubletake when I pulled into the station to fill up my little eyetalian staff car- the price of diesel was twenty cents less than that of unleaded (87 octane) regular- $2.56. Been a long while since I've seen that. Doesn't seem that long ago diesel was over $1/ gal. than unleaded (87 octane) regular. | |

| Reg2.13, diesel2.35 here. Hate to buy much fuel as it seems to drop at every fill-up. Not complaining though. | |

| I noticed about a month ago the price difference had decreased to about $.50 from the usual $1. I haven't looked recently but looking at Gasbuddy.com, it says gas is $2.13 here for a low. That seems right. Its showing $2.28 for diesel.
WTI is trading below $40 a barrel now and Brent is under $45.

| Diesel has been 20-40 cents per gallon cheaper than gas here for about a couple months. | |

Why such a price difference between you and Evan .... fuel taxes?

| I paid 1.88 for 87 octane unleaded today. Diesel is right at 2 bucks around here now. | |

I would have to say a combination of taxes and where Evan lives. Long Island isn't the easiest place to bring a truck into. He is actually closer to the refineries of North Jersey than I am, but the drivers I know usually can make 2 trips per day to my area. Even just over the bridge to Staten Island where my father in law lives fuel is usually $ 0.50 more. Also I would guess we live about 100 miles apart. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Gas is at a low of $1.85 here and diesel is $2.04. Big price differences around town for diesel though. | |

| Prices are dropping here but it looks like not as fast as everywhere else. When I filled up Friday it was $2.45 for 87 octane and $2.52 for diesel. Tank only holds 10.5 gallons so it's not too painful ... there are a lot of weeks I go through more fuel for the lawn tractor (John Deere X320) than I do for the car. | |

| Also the cost of tolls from Long Island to Jersey and vice versa in my pickup is almost $60 probably. It went down again from last time I fueled to when I last it's down to about 2.50 in some places. | |
