Parlez-vous Jeep? Empty

....
Parlez-vous Jeep?
Remember the F-Head engine? I was cogitating in the dream-state
before rising to meet the day, and it occurred that the F-Head would
have tremendous advantages in that you could install four big intake
valves, and get carried away and have variable timing for each, as
there is gobs of room to play with intake valving and plumbing to
provide better breathing.
The F-Head's inherit low compression isn't too important now,
what with supercharging, so.... would it work?

By the time you placed 80 percent of the intake valve area in 3 or 4 exhaust valves in the block around the cylinder, I'm thinking you'd have so much combustion chamber area, much compression would be difficult to acheive.

Having all that intake breathing area won't do any good if there isn't sufficient exhaust area (and efficient flow through the cylinder) and a reasonable static compression ratio.

I tend to think the engine would become overly complicated. With what amounts to a "T" head layout in the block, and a 4 valve cylinder head, the expense would probably get high too.
