We gotta get Perot back. Prop him up in a wheelchair, give him a pointer, a greaseboard, and have him tell it like it is.

I worked one of Ross' companies for 13 years.  All of his '92  and '96 campaign material was lined up and down a couple of the long hallways.

In ever sense of the word, this "truth" and the uncomfortable nature of it was spot on.  Amazing to review the material and metrics and compare to where we are today.  Too bad the country didn't listen.

When Hillary was asked the failure of NAFTA and was Perot right, her response. "All I remember are some charts HAHAHAHAHAH".  I don't find it amusing.  The audience finds it funny however?

There are few people that have the candor and integrity as in integral package, Ross does.  Ross JR, misses the boat.

http://www.cnbc.com/2015/10/15/lew-to-congress-debt-limit-now-exhausted-tuesday-november-3.html

Only took six months for politicans and media to even mention this topic. More of governing from crisis to crisis.

Lew to Boehner letter indicates the extraordinary measures are exhausted on November 3rd. The 3rd is when SS checks are issued, oh what a coincidence.

Looks like they will suspend the debt ceiling for two years.

What are your guesses on what the frozen 18.1 Trillion jumps to once this is signed.

20.4 is my guess. 22 once the media selects our next President in 2016.

You're probably pretty close.  Lots of cards they have left play and ones we don't know about, ones they make up to shroud the real figures.

Its becoming increasingly difficult to find anything conservative about the Republican party.  Only when their backs are against the wall do principled mentions occur.  Last night arguably the biggest Rhino of them all called out SS and the government for stealing all the money.  Saw his interview last night with Hannity, Sean was shocked, didn't know.  Dumb@ss, your in the "media".  You should know, you should be telling the American people.  Yes Sean all the tens of thousands every individual has put into SS over the years doesn't exist.  They've stolen it, and continue to steal it.  Not enough money to fund the war machine.

We'll find out what happens to the debt total two business days after the legislation is signed by POTUS.  I'll pull and post the Treasury daily statement.

The amount, that's a good question.  I'm not certain they will fund the manipulable bonds and federal pensions they've raided, they might try the hide it under the rug.  If they replenish the funds, I would look for the total debt to increase around  $1.2 trillion.  Basing this off of our total annual expenditures of around $3 trillion at current rate.  2015 fiscal year we took in a record $2.6 trillion in tax revenue and still had a nearly $500 billion deficit.

The proposed debt ceiling legislation provides a two year period free of any limits.  How are the Republican's going to campaign on anything conservative or limited government in 2016?  They can't.  This move by Republican's might have simply given Hillary the white house.

This proposed legislation removes the sequester, they can spend whatever they want on the war machine.

Saw yesterday there's a bid going on for a new strategic bomber/recon aircraft.  $550 million each, 80 to 100 units.  $45+ billion conservatively.

Republican's have pushed themselves into a corner.  This is why we hear last night Christie mention the SS trust doesn't exist, Cruz going after the media for not addressing "substantive" issues.

This legislation if passed unchains the government from any spending limitations, only time, a two year free for all.  Imagine the POTUS with a pen, a phone, and unlimited credit card.

This is why Trump is leading, people are feed up with the Republican establishment acting like far left Democrats.  Trump is a hail marry for the country it seems, as wrought with uncertainty, and imperfect as he is as a candidate for POTUS.  If the Republican establishment keeps this up, there is or will be a movement for another party.

The entire situation is reminiscent of tossing a couple chicken carcasses into the swap and watch the gators fight and eat over the remains.  This is the current state of our government and country.

If BHO is unchained until he leaves, the debt could easily hit $21.2 trillion without even trying.

You see the assclown at the Pentagon deny we were in combat operations in Iraq by saying the cloud of combat makes things uncertain?

Zero opposition to that too.

They've changed the definition of war: kinetic operations, humanitarian efforts, advisory role (recycling that one from Vietnam), drone program.

Somehow dropping bombs, killing people in foreign countries isn't war. In the last year alone we've dropped bombs on seven different countries, and I could be missing a few.

If NK dropped a hand grenade remotely close to the US, we'd call it an act of war, yet we when actually kill people in countries all over the globe, fighting the ambiguous ever changing enemy of the war on terror, its simply "protecting our freedoms". WTF Then you find out the US is actually equipping and funding terrorist organizations, thinking they can have one group topple the other, with not a thought how you deal with a well armed, well trained, well funded group of jihadists later. Stupid is as stupid does. <-Forest Gump

Our freedoms aren't under attack by anyone, or any country, other than our own government.

Do as we say, not as we do.

Never mind paying the interest on the war machine for decades and decades, of which we're not we're borrowing to pay the interest on previous debt. If the Fed raises rates, government costs only skyrocket exponentially.

One thing is for certain debt is going up.

I watched a little bit of the debate last night. It was refreshing to hear frank talk about SS, how Americans are being robbed, and next generations will be stuck with the bill. Not surprising, the contenders got quiet when Trump mentioned most contenders were in the back pockets of super PACs, billionaires, etc.

I didn't watch much of it but the moderators were horrible. You might as well have had Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and a resurrected Karl Marx asking the questions. Ted Cruz did a great job putting them in their place. He has the right ideas but he just looks like a sleazy used car salesman and he is a true conservative so he doesn't stand much of a chance because the establishment wont back him. But I do really like that he kind of tried to bring everybody back together and stop some of the infighting. I still cant get behind Christie even if he makes a good point or two, after Hurricane Sandy he speaking out his arse about wasting and stealing money.

One of the moderators should have asked him, "Since your all concerned about government waste and stealing, where did the $61 billion in federal Sandy relief funding go?"

Those "moderators" weren't worried in the least about a government wasting money, that's why.

If anything, they were offended that he only wasted 61 billion.

The debt deal steals $150 billion from SS over three years to fund SSI (Disability).  11 million in the US are now fully disabled.  Veterans can get both VA disablity and SSI disability with no offset of one over the other.  The top nine zip codes for SSI disability are in Puerto Rico.

Steal, take, give, mislead, lie, wow my back just went out, hear that giant sucking sound?

Votes, lots and lots of votes there leaning toward one party in particular.  Additionally USA has breed a culture in providing for those that simply don't want to work.

We don't have log lines of soup kitchens, we hand out EBT cards now.  Several hundred dollars to each individual on the program, month after month all the comforts of your local grocery store and your home.  If the feed the unfortunate people program were truly hungry people in a long line for the soup kitchen, for most there's usually enough incentive to do something to make life better.  That means work.

We have our answer, debt jumped $339 billion.

From $18,112,975,000,000 to $18,452,108,000,000.  Increase $339,127,00,000.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/debt-ceiling-lifted-and-the-same-day-debt-jumps-339b/article/2575568

Conservatives really showcasing their conservative principals. The republicans might as well go home, hand the keys over to the democrats for eight years.

No limits on spending for two years. Boy how exciting.

Yesterday we popped to a total of $18,492,360,000,000 or another $40.2 billion from Monday. One day $40 billion, not bad for this conservative crew that was elected in over the last two cycles.

I just hope that with new leadership the actual conservatives in the Republican party can get some traction and they will finally learn how to effectively get their message out. Otherwise we are all doomed.

With no limits on spend, it's a free for all.

Quote :
The measure would also revive the Export-Import Bank, a trade-promoting agency that expired last summer amid attacks from conservative lawmakers.

The Ex-Im Bank is tax payer freely available cash in loans and loan guarantees (insurance) to foreign companies who don't have or can't get the funds via the private sector to transact with US based multi-national companies.  They talk about helping small business, this doesn't funnel out in the end.  Who's on the hook when the foreign company folds?  The US taxpayer.  Who has all the risk on a default?  The US Taxpayer.  Just like in the 2008 collapse, who was on the hook, not the banks, the US tax payer.

Paul Ryan ->
Quote :
"It is a result of a more open process. Over these last four days, the House has debated more amendments than in the last four months combined," he told reporters.

It's a CC with no limits, everyone's getting anything they want to hand out to their connected buddies.

While they're at it, they might just tack on an extra $40 billion ->
Quote :
an amendment adopted at the last minute Thursday could add an additional $40 billion, shoring up funding for the life of the bill.

This is a financial death march.

There's no reason for this at all.  Republican's control the house and senate.  And yet spend just like the democrats and POTUS wants. As if the country wasn't screwed already, this just shortens the timeline of the impending crash.  How much longer can the lies and decit on the American people be propped up before it all catches up to us?

Just like the trillion dollar "stimulus" package...it's all pork for the cronies who put them in office.

There is no Democrat, no Republican, there is only money.

"The other pile is intragovernmental holdings, which is money the government borrows from other government accounts to make ends meet. Those IOUs have grown by about $140 billion over the last three weeks."

Thats the scariest part of it.

And its Congress that passes budgets and spends the money. If we had a Congress with some sense and balls, we wouldn't be in this mess no matter who was president.

Total new debt in November alone $674 billion, totaling $18.827 trillion.

Friday 1/29/16 US Treasury Daily statement closed at $19.012 trillion. Only took 13 months to add $1 trillion in new debt. Congratulations America. Barrack can probably hit $20 trillion by the time he leaves office. Thanks also goes out to the Republican majorities in the House and Senate for showing us the "conservative" values they talk about in front of the microphone.

Part of the problem is that the Republicans will get most of the blame for not doing what Obama wants. The media can still stick them with the blame and most Americans will go with it.
