| Our media is just another subsidiary of the Ruling Elite. They are mouth pieces of the corruption. Sellouts one and all. | |

| Well they do own most of the media. That's why "news" today is traught with opinion and talking points that represent their agenda. They are able to control what is and is not covered and how they want to cover or not cover something. | |

| While everyone thinks that Snowden is sitting in some backroom at a Moscow airport, I'm sure the KGB (or whatever they are calling themselves these days) are squeezing every last drop of classified information out of him...
Russia is the last place that I would go to seek political asylum..

| Probably freely cooperating to avoid a life term or death sentence in the US. But he's of little value once he stops talking or runs out of useful info. | |

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/snowden-seeks-asylum-russia-165356637.html It isn't like he has a lot of options now that his passport has been revoked. Plus many countries don't want the US beating on them four different ways to Sunday. Traitor or treason would imply he's aiding a foreign government with US classified info. So far no evidence has been presented to validate that theory. It's not as if he can go to Canada or many countries of which will extradite him immediately. If he wants to continue to release information he is in need of locating a country of which will not bow to US pressure. What we do know is he's made available history of record of which our own government has been acting and conducting itself. Much of it conducting against US citizens. He hasn't killed anyone. Unlike our government. Put it this way how many times has the public heard from Bradley Manning? Course well all conveniently forget the NDAA of which US citizens can be disappeared indefinitely without due process, no trial, no public hearing as long as someone within the government classifies him as an enemy combatant. Moreover the focus has shifted, purposefully by the in tow MSM, from what the US government has done, to an entertainment showcase of which labels can be plastered across Snowden's name. Snowden was asked if he was a hero or traitor, he responded with "an American".

| I must've been asleep when the FBI revealed the secret US Postal Service program (MICT) Mail Isolation Control and Tracking on Jun 7 2013. They've been spying on us. They tracked your outgoing mail by storing digital images of your types of envelopes, stamps, return address labels, etc. They were photographing 160 billion letters each year! Who'd thunk the USPS would have the time and resources to spend on this? It's time to cut the utter on government departments - they always seem to run a muck. http://rt.com/usa/us-nsa-mail-spying-706/ | |

| More more more. That's all the government knows. Notice all the surveillance is turned inside now. We're the suspects. This is more of the over reaction surrounding 911 event.
Storing imagery for 160 billion records annually with the possible retention lifespan of indefinite is expensive, as I work in and around the data storage industry.
The reality is that we're spending roughly $3.6 trillion annually. New debt increases around $1.2 trillion annually. We need to cut 1/3 or 33% of our total annual spend to simply balance our revenue/spending. The sequester only cuts 2% of the annual spend, and they claim that was tough.

| The ongoing 'pie in the sky' is we'll grow our way out of it since there's no way any in office politician could consider not spending our way out of this.

| I would love to challenge them on growth. The whole we'll be able to grow our way through this with a prospering economy lie.
#1 We were the hub around the internet and IT industry back in the 90's, we're working really hard to give that industry away. There are very few chances if any to invent and create an new industry vertical.
#2 Our economy has been growing at 2% annually over GDP. Based on government math lies. 2% won't grow a country out of anything. 6 to 10% is needed to show growth.
#3 Our economic numbers include government spending. Every bomb we make and drop is not growing the economy, there is no economy for war goods. There's a considerable amount of profit made by a few select companies, though it all sources off the back of the US tax payers and the US credit card.
#4 If the government cuts only the current debt spending 1.2 trillion annually this will amount of 7.6% of GDP annually. What is going to take it's place? Moreover if government wasn't propping up our economy the economy would be contracting nearly 8% annually. Eventually the correction would occur, then it would bounce back, this is only after government would ever get out of the way long enough for the correction to occur.
#5 As long as the American people house a belief system where the US government has the responsibility for the job safety, financial safety, personal safety, food safety, heath safety we'll still be in this clamoring of a mess for the foreseeable future.
That's true politicians can't fathom a way to not spend to get us out of this mess. Their whole premise being a lie, they must use money and coercion to buy the influence from their constituents to prop up more lies and false promises, like a "growing economy", or the "economic recovery".

| Story in the news the other night about another source of citizen spying. Those cameras on police cars have been collecting license plate images to track car owners. | |

| I'm sure there's other spying the public is still unaware of. I recall the NSA had spying programs in the 1990's or so collecting audio from wireless phones and baby monitors.
