Just curious how pricing is in your areas.
In middle TN the Ram dealer is MSRP +$5,000 (market adjustment)
In Michigan my brother bought a 2022 Ram 1500, 4x4, Hemi, quad cab for $5,800 under MSRP.
$11,000 difference is nothing to sneeze at. Our local Ram dealer has a better selection than his did too.

Inside of DFW, they are marking them up 5 to 10k depending on model, then they add "Dealer Add Ons" on top of that.

MSRP in the outlying areas.

Used prices are as much as brand new. Most lots are 90% empty.

Around here (remember Bernard's Dan?) it's MSRP minus any factory rebates ($2500 on 1500's currently). They have dealer discounts but they're small .... $50-$300. Not much new inventory ... 70 some odd vehicles of all their brands .... CDJR. Not a thing on the showroom floor; normally they carry about 270 new vehicles.

There's no inventory around here. I frequently drive past dealership row and it's staggering to see so much open lot space. Only a Honda dealer has a reasonably good supply of new vehicles.

There's reports of used vehicle prices dropping significantly over the last few weeks. I checked Autotrader and it appears and I could possibly sell the 2019 Ram for thousands more than I paid for it new. Something has to give with these crazy prices and rising interest rates.

Some dealerships here have full lots while others only have a few. Chevy dealerships are low on inventory while Toyota are full.

Fords lot stays pretty empty, both dealerships. Chevy lot is fuller but I think bc they have mixed in used. I avoid the Dodge dealership so no idea.
