Bought yet another diesel driver. This one is a 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD, 4 cylinder turbo diesel.
Apparently I'm a glutton for punishment
Then there is the "new" lawn mower: Kubota ZD326, 26HP diesel zero turn that weights 1700lbs!

Nice. I wasn't aware the Liberty had a diesel.

2005/06 only option for the US. More common over seas. In fact many parts have to come from Europe now.

2005 had slightly less electronics IIRC, no TPMS for example.

Sold the Jeep a while back. Gave the Cruze to our daughter.
Just picked up a 2019 GMC Canyon All-terrain with the 2.8L Diesel. Much more refined than the 2.8L in the Jeep. Truck rides/drives very good. Wife really likes this one. Hopefully this will be a 300k mile truck over the years since we don't have to deal with rust down here.
Will get some pics later.

It's 4wd, slim chance I'd buy a 2wd anytime soon. My driveway needs 4wd when pulling a trailer. Someday I'd like to concrete it, IIRC it has up to a 17 deg slope.
Have another diesel on the way. F'ing ironplanet through me a curveball. First won a auction, then it went pending, then I get a email stating lot was pulled due to technical difficulties during bidding, 6 days later I get email stating I still need to pay for the lot . Supposedly they pulled the lot and gave it back to me in the same minute but never sent a 2nd email stating such.
I was in the middle of title issues with the canyon when I received the payment needed email. Everything would have been done on monday but since I "lost" the lot I cancelled all those plans including nec trailer to haul item. Now I got squeezed by the holidays and the extra expense of the truck which wasn't planned until after the lost auction.
Getting a 2016 Kubota SVL95-2 skidsteer for land clearing. 100hp, 11,400 lb machine, little more than my current trailer likes to haul.

Both look nice. Not having used our RV much in the last two years, I would like to sell the trailer, trade in my truck on a Canyon/Colorado. I have no use for the Kubota but want one anyway.

Good time to sell the RV...the industry has gone buck wild during this covid mess. People stormed the lots and bought up everything. Good used HD diesel trucks are bringing a premium right now too.

"My son wants a new truck so I asked him to look at the Canyon. At 6'4" he said he is too big for it.

He might be surprised how much room it has in the front.

He works as mechanic and has driven several at work. I think he does fit in one but has his heart set on a full size.

Keeps getting better...
3 weeks ago I was put on a heavy dose of Prednisone for bad posion ivey out break. Over a week ago my calf started hurting, figured pulled muscle. Turns out heavy doses of prednisone can cause DVT(blood clots)....which was never mentioned. Ultra sound today confirms DVT, DR calls in Rx, pharmacy wont get it until Monday. Call back and recording says office is closed, wtf? Drive to town and it's only closed for 1.5 hr lunch.
So I call back and ask if this is serious or not since was not told ANY does or don'ts. Turns out I was doing exactly what I shouldn't be and was living with it for over a week.
Well at least my walk to my work area is only 1,500 ft...one way, with multiple flights of stairs and being maintenance I cover an area that is almost 1,000 feet away.

That doesn't sound good. I have been on Prednisone 3 times in the last year due to problems with Legionnaires that I had in 2019. I didn't know that Prednisone could cause blood clots. If I'm put on it again I will be sure to ask about it. The don't tell you half of the bad things that are possible from medications. I had taken Levaquin earlier this year and had to stop taking Zorcor while on it. It seems the two drugs didn't get along and it could do damage to your tendons that was irreversible. Hope you get the medicine you need soon.

Prednisone isn't much fun. About 10-11 years ago I had a really bad reaction to the flu vaccine (hives, rash, trouble breathing)- they put me on prednisone for 10 days. Miserable experience, couldn't sleep, heart palpitations. They tried to put me on it last year for a gout flare up - I won't go near the stuff. Seems like a lot of medications have side effects so they give you another medication to counteract the side effects and then that med has its own side effects .... pretty soon you feel like a walking pharmacy.

Prednisone worked for knocking out the poison ivey reaction. I just think the dosage was too high. Was given 20 mg pills and week 1 was 3x/day, week 2-2x/day, week 3-1x/day. Others I know of only took a week long course. Towards the end my blood sugar started wildly fluctuating, felt off among other things.
