Driver's seat help

Well after 12 years, 170,000 miles  and my big fat ass being in it,my drivers seat is in need of some help. Had a seat cover on since new, so it's not torn up, just flattened. Anyone have any thing they would recommend other that redoing the padding and springs?

Me and my ass would be most grateful.

Nice. That sure beats a stinky used one from the junk yard.

Let us know how easy it was to just put the padding in. I'm guessing in the next year I will need to do the same . All my other seats look new lol.

Seat cushion is arriving today, with a weekend install hopefully. Will let you know how it goes..

No links, so I'm even more confused....

On the reply form, go to the 4th block from the left. The square will say Host an image. Click on select files, and upload from your computer the picture you want to upload. Follow the directions after you select the file.

Its the only 1/2ton I've never taken out on a test drive...local dealer turned me off on them. Wanted to work out the deal before allowing a test drive.

I visited a Nissan dealer the night before we bought this, most unprofessional nightmare of a dealership I ever visited, which tops a Ford dealer that met me at the door to the showroom, didn't even let me in, asked through the partial open door what I wanted. Yeah I'm interested in that red F250, is that price negotiable? No, I left !

It's beyond me how some dealers manage to stay open.

Wife got the truck, seat cushion install on hold, dad is having surgery tomorrow and I'll be in NY until Sunday helping him out.

Understood. Good luck with you Dads surgery. I will travel to a city for a surgery rather than have a local hospital do it if it is a serious surgery.

Install finally done yesterday. Took about an hour, keep in mind that I have the WT package. So there was only one wire attached to the seat and the only things I removed from the seat was the lever to recline the back and two plastic trim pieces, no buttons or wiring for power anything.. Was pretty simple, and the only casualty was one clip that holds the inside corners tight, no biggie. The foam was toast, and flaked and crumbled as I was removing the seat cover, which was in quite good shape thanks to my Marathon seat covers.I can say , what a difference !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to readjust my tow mirrors cause I sit so high now, my ass is happy!

Glad to see it went well. On Sunday I used a leather cleaner and restore product from Mothers. Cleaned up well but it is getting time to think about a new seat. It is more on the side from sliding in and out of the truck than from just sitting. Still, when I drive the Acadia I can see how my seat is getting soft.

It is a noticeable improvement, and I did find 31 cents, a host of petrified French fries, a green plastic paperclip and a coupon for cherry tomatoes from 2011 !

Maybe after our trip to the Med in two weeks I should consider trying the new seat when we get home. Once school ended we don't see another paycheck until September so I try to watch my spending. I have already taken too much out of my IRA's to pay summer bills. We can't have the school spread out the pay over 12 months like some districts do.

My '06 is a WT as well.
Manual windows and locks too! Bought the multi function lever to get cruise control. Bet the previous owners would be pissed to know they could have had cruise control for <$100. Just plug and play, extra pig tail is already in the column.
