Ok, I have s couple of bungee cord questions for the group. I'm sick of the el cheapo dollar store cords for all the obvious reasons and would like to get a few decent ones. These are for general purpose usage, mainly securing items in the back of the truck.
What brand and type of bungee do you find best?
What length(s) do you find most useful?
How many of each do you carry?

I just carry 1" ratchet straps. Rubber bungie cords are mostly crap nowadays. Back in WI I'd snap several new ones throughout the course of the winter on my tractors tire chains. Plus I don't need chains in TN!

I carry various length and width ratchet straps. I find the rubber ones usually loosen up and either fall off or smack up the paint.

I have rope for the serious work, ratchet straps for intermediate, and a few el cheapo bungees, which I want to replace, for the light duty stuff, just to keep stuff from sliding about.
