| We decided to trade campers for a Toy Hauler, ended up with an RPM 26FB. About half a foot shorter than the old camper, dry weight lists it to be about 500lbs heavier, but it pulled better than the KZ ever did. Got better mileage towing it too. Last Friday, it was about 88 degrees here that evening. Strong cold front was due, so the big storms started popping up. Spent that evening under tornado warnings and several rounds of hail. No damage to my stuff though. Hooked up early Saturday to drive into Oklahoma to a dealer just west of Tulsa on old Rt. 66. Forecast showed it to be windy and cool. Reality was the mid 40's forecast were really mid 20's with a 35mph North Wind, freezing rain and snow. Bridges were iced over, but the roads themselves were decent enough. 220 miles took almost 5hrs in those conditions. Return trip, the sun had finally came out and the ice melted. Iced over and heavy once we arrived. RPM back in TX Canadian River crossing on the way was the worst spot. Almost a mile long bridge iced over with a wreck on the far side. Whole rig slid a bit as I first got on the bridge. Basically idled across it. | |

| Back ramp on the Toy Hauler also converts into a party/patio deck. Interior garage is 12'9" long and 92" wide. | |

| Nice. I have friends that tow new RV's from the factory to the dealers. They have told me at times the wind was so bad that they pulled over for 2 days instead of fighting it. Looking forward of pictures of your new truckĀ ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Will you take the trailer to Colorado, or go with your Jeep setup? ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| We'll probably take it at some point with the RZR. Lake City/Hinsdale County lets you drive the RZR's on the city streets where other towns still dont. Getting the camper over those last couple of passes will be a Siberian bitch though.
We are trailering up the RZR to Lake City this year and staying in a cabin. Gonna see how it works out with the RZR in town and all the surrounding areas of the Alpine Loop.

| That's a nice rig.
I remember seeing those cabin pics from your previous trip. Maybe it was Lake City. That should be relaxing.

| I'm taking it out the the lake by the house this weekend for its maiden shakedown voyage. About 15 miles to the park. I'll set up and get a bit of catfishing in.
End of the month, we are taking it out a little further east. Setting up on Lake Tawakoni for the weekend. Us and a few other couples will be there. My brothers are bringing up their pontoon boat. Should catch enough blue cats on Saturday to do a fish fry that afternoon.

I'll have to get a tax bracket changing job to swing that. Atmos is still in play, might get another shot at it over the summer.

| Looks like a nice camp ground with a lot or room. It is finally getting time that we can camp, need to wash the trailer and de-winterize the water lines. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Can't really see the lake for all the cold foggy haze, but its about 75ft down the hill from the camper. Its about 20 minutes from the house. Nice and quiet. We fished for just a few minutes, wife caught a blue cat. Storms started back in and ran us off the fishing.
Lake Lavon is a Corps of Engineering lake, its the water supply for a big part of N. Texas. Campgrounds are COE ran. $30 a night for full hook-ups.

| When we camp in New Hampshire State Campgrounds, the fees with full hookups are very reasonable. I think the last time we camped in the White Mountains it was around $35 a night. Probably went up a few bucks. The funny think about the Echo Lake RV camp ground (7 sites) has on its web page 2 pictures, they are both my Holiday Rambler 5th wheel that I haven't owned for 5 years now. It's still pretty cool to see it on there website. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| The half-ton Ram isn't enough truck to pull anything over 5000 safely. The trailer drives the truck. They just don't have enough ass to them.
Level highways with zero wind is no problem. But that place doesn't exist.

| Ordered some airbags for the truck today. Airlift Loadlifter 5000. Friends run them on their Ram 2500 & 3500 trucks and they like them. | |

| At maybe around $100k, those are the money shots.
I suppose I would also need to get another trailer to haul the rzr back/forth for maintenance, state vehicle inspections, etc.
