Time for new Struts and Shocks

The truck has been riding rough lately. My passenger side Strut looks shot to me as it is off the plastic cup holding it. With 70,000 miles on the truck I think it is time to put new ones on. I'm going to put on the OEM AC Delco. Getting the Struts form Rock Auto and the Shocks from Amazon. I have credit on my Amazon card so that's why I didn't buy everything at Rock Auto. My shocks are so rusted I'm afraid they will start to leak. Then I will get the front end aligned after complete. Living close to the ocean, the salt air takes a toll on vehicles.

I'm going to spray them with PB Blaster the night before and use my air tools. I'm half expecting the top bolts on the struts to break off.

I installed the struts today, not too difficult a job. It really raise the front end, I didn't realize how much the front end sagged. It sits easily 2" taller. I took it out and got the front end aligned. After all these miles it was only out by 10 degrees on the driver lower. At least with new tires and the alignment I should have no worries.
Hopefully, the other shock will arrive from Amazon and I can install them and be done with it.

After I replaced the struts on the Expedition I was surprised how much it lifted it up as well. Rode so much smoother!

Last night I sprayed the bolts on the shocks. This morning it took be about 1 hour swapping out the old with the new. It was easier than I remembered. I didn't have to jack up the truck. Next job, change the fluid in the front differential and the transfer case.
