| The Forum has been quiet lately so I thought to ask what has been keeping everyone busy beside the usual day to day grind. Here are some things that are going on with me: Back to school, working since September, the kids seem to be more disrespectful than in past years. It could be I have spend the majority of time working with 8th and 9th graders. Seniors are normally the easy ones, more mature. Waiting for my daughter to have my first grandchild. It is a healthy boy, but she is having a hard time with being pregnant and dealing with the treatments for breast cancer. Chemo just ended, radiation will begin two weeks after she delivers. At 63, I started a night class to learn the guitar. For me, the hardest part is keeping in beat as I try to figure out what notes I'm reading.
So, what are you guys up to? ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Just got back this morning from Newfoundland. My Mother passed away from Alzheimer's on the 10th and we buried her Saturday morning. It's been a rough couple weeks. Glad to be home. | |

| Went with my wife to a homeless establishment. They just built a few dozen 10x12 shelters for them to get out of the elements in. The place is very bare-bones and looking at how to most cost effectively power the place for lights and heat/ac depending on the weather. Also waiting for the next foster class for us to go to. We started classes for adoption a year ago but our schedules changed and have never been able to get back into any until recently. Looking to foster and then adopt maybe. And of course my side business has been keeping me a little busier than usual but I hadn't put in too much, not near enough actually.
Hadn't kept me physically busy but been on my mind allot is my mom starting the process of dialysis. They put in the port a few weeks ago but it clogged so they have to redo some stuff, not sure what. She also mentioned going into a nursing home but hasn't mentioned it to my dad yet. She is way too young for all she has been through.

| Still working on the new house. Turns out no Internet at the new location. Barely cell service and drops off from time to time.
Just ordered 3 garage doors with R18 insulation for 4k, working on floor trusses for the second floor next.

| Still dealing with my inlaw mess since my father in law passed 2.5 years ago. Busy before and after work schlepping the kids to distant charter schools. I'm trying to keep up with my options trading part time but it's just not the same with work. I tried my hand at making a window valence in the living room - I need to tweak it a bit. I watched the Hawaiian Ironman and got inspired in cycling again - I bought used carbon frame road bike.
I have a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster that calls my name every night - one of these days I hope to have more time to take lessons.

| I'm staying in the same area. I was born and raised here. Family and friends are close. One of my twins (12y) is living with me. Plan to keep him in the same school. My other 2 are with their mom. I've been living in an apartment for 2 and 1/2 years. Ready to put some dear heads on the wall. | |
