| Vincentric Announces 2016 Pickups With the Best Value - Quote :
- The winners of the 12th annual Vincentric Best Value in America Awards for the 2016 model year have been announced, and there are some familiar names. All the pickup trucks that were recognized this year are previous award winners.
"The 2016 Vincentric Best Value in America awards show that when manufacturers measure and manage a vehicle's total cost of ownership, they are able to consistently deliver high value to consumers" Vincentric President David Wurster said in a statement. "Our analysis has identified award winning vehicles that have been purposefully developed with the intention of minimizing ownership costs, benefiting their customers."
Vincentric measures overall cost of ownership, averaged over the first five years of a vehicle's life in eight different categories: depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance rates, maintenance, opportunity costs and likely repairs. The winners of each category offered lower than expected costs when compared to their competitors. More than 3,000 vehicle configurations were evaluated in all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., using a range of annual mileage intervals and insurance profiles.
