This is good news for Ford. Helps diversify their revenue and profits away from the F Series some.

So many people slammed Fords decision of bringing the European Ford vans here and discontinuing the aging E-Series, but it's been a hit so far. Good job.

Hard to not be a hit.  The same core architecture for the E-Series vans is how many decades old?  Too bad GM hasn't done similar.  And no, a re-brand of the Nissan van doesn't cut it Chevrolet.

All new powertrains for these vans forgoing the 4.6, 5.4 and 6.8 offered in the E-Series, with the Transit using the NA 3.7 V6, 3.5 EB, and the 3.2 Power Stroke I5 diesel. Only transmission is the six speed. That 10 speed would be nice in these.

GM already has a decent line of vans in Europe that they could bring over and produce here just as Ford did. The small Opel Combo, mid size Opel Viraro and full size Opel Movano.

Completely agree!

On the Opel van I thought I read where it is a joint venture with a Euro automaker and not 100% GMs design.
