Boy the GMC HD's now suddenly look fantastic comparative to this. Taking what previously was two distinct and unique themes, now both merged into one seems mediocrity was the goal?

The headlamp housings must be in excess of a foot, near 16", 18".

They do look the same. Wish we could see the top of the SD to see if the windshield is the same as well.

Ford has already announced that they will make cabs in Dearborn and send them to Kentucky. They may not be 100% the same, but should be mostly the same. It makes sense to spread the huge investment for the change to aluminum to more of their products. Doesn't seem to be a problem for GM and Ram to share cabs.

It would make tons of sense in the cost savings of sharing the platform alone. Interiors too.

It would be a financial benefit and one I would agree to, not that I agree with bean counters very often. That should cut down on R&D time and investment for the aluminum SD while still keeping their styling very unique.
