| In New Jersey, we have Taylor Ham/Pork Roll. Some people call it by one name, Taylor Ham I think was the original manufacturer, but when you go to a deli for breakfast, most will order it as Pork Roll with egg and cheese on a hard roll.
A few other names for the same thing thing I can think of: Sub Hoagie Grinder Poor Boy Hero ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| Sadly, I can't think of anything food-wise that is unique to this area. Perhaps there is some seafood dish that is eluding me? *shrug* We pretty much like whatever the rest of the country is eating.. . Speaking of food, this Oregonian could really go for some real Philly Cheese Steaks and Texas BBQ right about now.. | |

| I NYC they seem to have a halal food vendor at every corner serving rice with a choice of chicken or lamb. Either tastes the same after they are done killing it on he griddle. | |

| Good Portuguese food is hard to find unless you travel to Newark. My favorite is Paella. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| I've got to get to the city and check out the food these vendors sell. I seldom get to Manhattan, and when I do we hit up a nice Italian play off Broadway. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.
