oh boy,

in this toyota video they say that the Ford is going with a box up front, reinforced C in the middle, and open c in the rear.  Which is exactly what  toyota has used in the tundra...

wonder if that is true, he talks about it at about the 1400 minute mark or so.  I know ford has confirmed that they are dropping the fully boxed in the new 2015 I believe.

This video is the toyota engineer talking about the truck to sales people to educate them on the product.  I guess they also have a Lexus 8 speed coming too.

yup, typical BS prior to release.

no large V8 though, boo.

Looks like the big 3 are now toyota, ram and gm, with 5.7s and 6.2

I think they will lose sales to guys like me that still like the large high power V8s while they are still around. I don't see Ram going away from the Hemi, toyota going away from the I-force, and GM just released the ecotech 6.2 so Ford is alone in not offering a large V8

I definitely see your point BB. Maybe there is something new coming that Ford is not mentioning at the moment.

The 3.7 had a short life span.

They need to do the EcoBoost treatment to the 5.0.

Wonder what the considerations are for the 2015 Raptor if the 6.2 isn't any longer. As hot as Raptor sales have been, they'll continue the model. Now what will they stuff under the hood? 5.0 EB as Pup tosses out?

The new ZO6 is forced induction. Wouldn't be much of a stretch to do that for the Raptor.

Is the current GT500 5.8 liter derived from the old 5.4 or the newer 5.0?

maybe it will only be for the raptor? the 6.2 I mean.

The raptor just needs a large V8 with tons of throat, it's too bad ass for a sewing machine sounding motor ecobust

There is more to the motor than just power.

I LOVE the new F150.

I'd probably get the 5.0, but the 3.5L EB will out tow any RAM or GM 1/2 ton.
