Because of the snow last night and the temps dropping into the low teens, they closed all schools and government. I have a pass to drive if I have to get to work, but work isn't making us come in. Only the water system operators and building and grounds had to show up.

Crazy winter we're having. I'd stay tight to the homestead and enjoy the time off and the view.

I'm out of firewood. Now I have to spend the weekend cutting and splitting some trees at my brothers.

In my neck of the woods we are having record heat. Although it makes for nice days there is a downfall. The lakes and reservoirs are at record lows and some counties are being asked to ration water. On top of that the snow pack we get a lot of water during the spring runoff is nowhere to be found. Seems like from one extreme to another everyone is having weather issues.

I read once that their is always some part of the U.S. that is in a drought. Could be Texas one year and then the north east the next. While the weathermen and climate people want to tell us the reason, they have only been recording weather for a blink of the eye compared to the whole picture over time.

Wrong! Technically -8F below freezing. You guys are immune to the cold anyway, quit your whining! We from the way south live here to avoid that. Can you please for the love of God take your lovely arctic air mass back?

It's going to be one crazy week. I see a high of 47, and a low of 3. One or the other, not hot and then cold then hot.

Sold my previous Silverado last April to a gentlemen in Ontario, Canada. Greg's area.
This morning the owner of the truck sends me an email. Asking the location of the block heater. Says it's -47C wind chill and the truck won't turn over. I exchange an email with him and he's got it located and attempting to put some heat into the cooling system.
That looks like the other side of the moon, not earth.

Greg, if you don't get a warming trend to melt off any, couple more weather systems it will be up to the rooftops soon. You'll no longer have a house, but an igloo.
Just sayin'

It's suppose to creep up above freezing this weekend, but apparently there's a chance of rain too. That will make this crap on the roof brutally heavy. Hey, what do you do. Take it as it comes. As for the igloos, don't us Canadians all live in them anyway?

The crazy part is that I got in my truck after work and looked at the temp on the dash and it said 20 F. I thought wow, it got warm.
