Saving America

Maybe I've been under a rock but I'm just starting to hear about a movement called Wake Up America. They're trying to expand. Their goal is to "save America." It could be closely aligned with the Republican party. They seen to have many good goals that hopefully aren't tainted with faith based hidden agendas.


Target Issues:

- Fiscal responsibility by all elected officials (eliminate deficit spending)
- Reducing social programs (decrease the dependency class)
- Promoting Liberty (stop government takeovers)
- Defending the Constitution (identifying threats, such as taking away Second Amendment Rights, the threat of Shariah Law, and more)
- Restoring the U.S. industrial base
- Eliminating illegal immigration
- Reforming the tax code (we like the Fair Tax best)
- Supporting strict constructionist view of courts (opposing liberal court activism)
- Promoting equal opportunity (oppose political correctness and quotas)
- Supporting States’ Rights (oppose heavy-handed federalism like ObamaCare and regulation imposing federal bureaucrats)
- Passing bonded term limits (candidates make the pledge, break pledge, pay the bond)
- Countering Leftists Re-Writing God out of our Founding & Institutions
- Building and maintaining a strong military (but not neo-con over-involvement in foreign countries)

Maybe this is the new Party that is needed.

Looks to me like an "extremist" party.

Unfortunately I feel our last best chance at that was Ross Perot.
People did not want to hear the $.50/gal gas tax to pay off our then current national dept. They all thought the economy would collapse with $1.50/1.70 gas. There are more sheeple now, IMO.

I would like a new party founded on one principle:

Ya... That's not gonna happen!!

I can at least say that under Bush he let ppl get punished. Even if it meant pissing Cheney off. So far with all the scandels under Obamas belt, I don't remember anyone being fired yet.
