NFL Team owner, Daniel Snyder, buckled to overwhelming political pressure today and will be renaming the Redskins.
Effective immediately, they will be dropping the offensive term "Washington" from their name.

For our President or anyone for that matter to waste cycles on acceptability for a sports team names is simply another indicator of what society deems important in 2013.
