If you're a bit squeamish with sex talk might be good to skip this one.

Was talking with a co-worker. She has two 20 years olds and was hoping the son would "get some" as he's moody. The daughter tells her mom that's not the way to say it. The daughter says, today we say "did you put it in?" The daughter actually felt awkward with the old "did you get some?"

That was a first for me.

Hmmm... first I've heard of that one. Damn kids re-inventing our language! scratch

Exactly. Get some is at least a little bit abstract. If you're gonna say the other you might as well just use the correct 4 letter term.

There's all kinds of "new" terminology ironically my 70 year old dad has been informing me recently.  He's providing it to me so that I'm aware of what kids are doing these days.    The strategy is that I'm in front of it with conversation with my daughters, to educate now and avoid bad decisions that could be life altering or ending for them or their friends.  Always ending every conversation with there is a consequence for every action and your are responsible for your decisions, not your friends or anyone else, you and you alone.   If you haven't seen or heard of mommy or daddy doing it, it's probably not right for you to engage.

A new one I learned of recently is the "Cinnamon Challenge".

It's been reported now kids have actually died from the "Cinnamon Challenge".

It appears to be getting a lot easier to come up with Darwin Award candidates with the increasingly stupid behavior of our younger generation.

That's nuts. I was thinking pulmonary fibrosis when I read that. It's relatively rare but deadly. It's takes years to develop and many times it's idiopathic (unknown cause). Some truck drivers that hauled farm products years ago (oats, wheat, etc) are known to get it. At end of life, they need sedation as they literally suffocate even on highly concentrated oxygen.
