| Interesting show. Some history of the AR-15. They interviewed the original designer, many typical AR-15 owners, and then one or two gun right extremists. If you want to DVR it, it's being broadcast again Sun and Mon evening. http://www.cnbc.com/id/100606839 | |

| Thanks for the heads up. History Channel had one on a while back that showcased the evolution of the AR from Vietnam til today. It was alright. | |

| The CNBC was was pretty good, not terribly biased but there was certain context especially toward the end that started to demonize the platform as simply dangerous. | |

| At times the interviewer's questions were a bit pressing and skewed to the anti-gun side.

| I missed it. But since were talkin' about ARs, Do you own one and if so, what brand and style (accessories)? I don't own one yet, but I'm thinking a basic Delton with A2 features plus an adjustable butt stock. ____________________________________ Why not?

| I have a custom build with Wilson Combat upper, chrome 16" lined barrel, M16 bolt carrier group, A3 flat top, CMT mil spec lower receiver, adjustable butt stock. I added an Aimpoint COP red dot site.
Every once and a while you can find a relatively good Colt 6920 deal on Gunbroker. They're brand new in box for $1300 or so. Not too bad for today's pricing.
I heard today one of the major AR manufacturers still has a 2 million order AR production backlog. Crazy!

| I've got a Frankenstein rifle and another SIG516 on order. I likely won't see the Sig for about a year as my LEO buddy just received the first of three ordered after five months after placing the order. Though not a brand name, I'm extremely pleased with the Frankensein's performance. Here's what it consists of: Surplus Ammo & Supply LOW15 lower receiver Stag Arms 5.56 NATO 1/9 barrel Leapers UTG Pro 6 position stock UTG PRO Model 4/15 Low-profile Quad-rail Gas Block for .75" Barrel / MTU012 Leapers UTG 5th Gen 4in ITA Red/Green Dot Sight w/ 2 QD Mounts SCP-DS3840W Initial site in at 30 yards. Needing to find a range of 100 yards to fine tune it.

I don't own one yet, but I'm thinking a basic Delton with A2 features plus an adjustable butt stock. I have 2, both S&W M&P Sports in 5.56. Put on new furniture, slings, one has a red dot, the other a Nikon P223 scope. For the price it was well worth the money, got both for under $675. When things loosen up I'm going to build the next one. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.

| S&W M&P Sport for $675? I was thinking I'd have to go Delton to get that price. ____________________________________ Why not?

| I had bought both before the pre panic set in. One was $675, while the second was only $650. When I was at my LGS tonight, the owner said prices are dropping fast and the buying frenzy is slowing down. ____________________________________ Don't believe everything you read on the internet- George Washington.
