New Milwaukee M18 1/2" Impact

6yr old Harbor Freight Eqethquake is getting weak, so I picked up one of these. Came with 1 battery, charger and zip bag. Got a deal on it thru a friend's industrial supplier. It's a beast.

I've stuck with Milwaukee for years.
Had good luck with their tools and only want one battery platform. Tell everyone when starting out pick one of the big ones like Milwakee, Rigid, DeWalt, Makita etc and stick with it. Cheaper lines don't have the quality batteries, IMO.

My son bought that one for work a couple of months back. He has a large collection of the Milwakuee tools that he uses in the shop. I believe they are the best.

They have the right name so I was thinking they might be a good company to invest in but looks like they've changed hands a number of times and now reside as a Hong Kong company. Not to say they don't build good products but anything China owned/related is taking a pounding as an investment.

I've got the Milwaukee cordless string trimmer and have been pleasantly surprised- pretty gutsy, will run an hour of pretty steady use and charges pretty quick too. Not looking forward to battery replacement time though- the battery costs more than the Stihl gas trimmer it replaced.

High torque extended length 3/8ths ratchet.

Recently picked up the Gen3 string trimer and pole saw.
Also have the M18 chainsaw, leaf blower etc. They work good.
