Ain't all the way official yet, but set to trade and pick this up Friday morning. 2021 Forest River Wolf Pack 315Pack12. Has the Platinum Package, Juice Pack(50w Solar Cell/Charger), theater seats IPO couch. Comes with a TST Tire monitor system and wireless backup camera system. Has basically every option except for the onboard generator, and I have a portable I planned to use already anyway. Lots more room than our current toy hauler. But fits nicely in with the F250's payload and towing specs.
Getting a B&W underbed, turnover gooseneck setup installed today, buying a B&W Companion Slider that hooks into that from a friend. That way, I won't have any rails in the bed when the hitch isn't in use. He used it once movining a 5th wheel for his aunt. $1500 hitch, selling it to me for $700. Sitting at $1600 for the gooseneck setup/installation and 5th wheel hitch. Retail on that setup is about $2000 before installation.
Used market is so hot right now, they gave me $5000 more than what I paid for the KZ 2 years ago. Wasn't looking to upgrade, we rode with a friend last week that was just to get out some and look, got to talking with the dealer, made the deal and here we are.

Nice. You will love towing the fifth wheel, big difference in stability. I like the fifth wheel floor plans, the bathroom/shower is usually connected to the bedroom. Good luck with it.

Nice hitch. I still have my Reese 15K hitch. It's in good shape. Hopefully I will use it again one day.

Nice looking rig. Those doors are pretty cool too.
Our son just dropped off his toy hauler to store at our house. 44' triaxle Thunderbolt XLR, dang thing is a monster.

They are getting huge. Damn near need a F450 or better to handle the weight of some of the rigs out there.
No major issues first trip out, all the systems worked as they should. No leaks, etc...found a few loose screws on the HappyJack bed. I'm sure more things will pop up here and there, its a constant with these things.
Got the wiring harness on the way to install the 7way in the bed of the truck instead of hanging the cable over the bed. Will do that this week. Going to setup dual batteries.
Got to tweak the settings on the TST TPMS too. Ranges set wrong, giving alerts for low pressure at 80psi.

There is no comparison towing a straight trailer vs. a fifth wheel. When I had my diesel, I ordered it with the tow package and it had the plug connection in the middle of the bed. It worked well, you always remembered to unplug it as it was next to the lever on the hitch. Something I never bought but wish I did was the tripod that you install to the pin while camping. They really take a lot of movement out of the rig.

Found out that even with the battery cut off switch turned to "off" the 12v only fridge still runs...got to read up on how thats wired so I can fix it so it cuts off too. Runs down battery is a real short amount of time.

I really like them. Far more than I thought I would. I think they ride nicer than the airbags on the Ram did. ZERO mtc too. No airing up, deflating, etc either. They make them for the camper axles too, to help the ride on it also.

Maybe figure out which breaker it is and shut it off. On my RV, the fridge has an on/off button along with gas/electric setting.

It has a button to turn it off and on, but the controller is still powered up the entire time.

Maybe take the battery out of the controller. Over the winter a neighbor stopped by and said when he was walking the dog he noticed the motor for my heat was running. He walked by the day before but thought I might be in the trailer so he though nothing of it. The thermostat is a pain to operate, but I know I had turned the system off for the winter. At the time I had it plugged into shore power.

Glass door goes to the garage area. Rubber floors, happyjack beds and couches...12ft. Back ramp door doubles as a patio area. Dogs like that part.

Here's a good video covering the trailer
Interior/Exterior lights, slide and awning can be controlled with an app on my phone. I need to get a TV for it, cheaper than having them do that anyway, and get a better TV.

Dang that is nice. When I make it back that way and you're in town, I'm sleeping in the trailer.

Replacing the crap Castle Rock tires right off. Reading tons of bad stories from these crap tires. Blowing on first trips, 500 miles, 1000 miles, etc...no one has anything good to say about them. These manufacturers put the cheapest, sorriest excuse for rubber on these things. That and they are at the ragged ass edge of their weight ratings, before the trailer is even loaded. Should be criminal.

What brand are you replacing them with? I have to put tires on my RV this season. There is a place in Delaware that sells RV parts and I was thinking of driving there instead of having them shipped. Considering the shipping price vs. gas I won't save money but will get a nice drive and stop in Cabelas while I'm there.

My issue is my new (to me) 24' gooseneck equipment trailer is it 245/75-16s. 235/85s rub the bottom of the deck. Not a whole lot of options and not even sure I can find 14 ply 245/75s.
