Took my Titan XD in for free oil change....had a 2017 Ram 2500 SLT 2wd Crew Cab 6.7 Cummins there. Certified Pre-Owned. 7/100000 warranty. 18k miles on it. Carfax one owner.

They offered me 1300 less than I paid for my Nissan back in Dec. Got the Ram down to just under 37k.

Now in my first diesel. 370hp/800lbft torque....It is a goddamned monster.

Pup I think you have had more vehicles in the last 2 years than I have had combined. But yes, the new diesels these days are all beasts! I love the sound.

Congrats. It's not the darkside. Just make sure you to check with the service department because there's a water pump recall for the ISB6.7s.

On your next trip you'll find no comparison from the "old" truck.

Drove down to Teague and back. About 125 miles each way.
Set Cruise on 77. It never downshifts on hills, just eases up them, holding the speed without effort. Its a quiet bastard too.

Gonna drag the trailer somewhere this coming Saturday and see how that goes.

All the recalls have been completed on it. Double checked with the Mopar site to make sure, it shows that they have been done.

I guess a while is relative. Smile

It's amazing how powerful those engines are these days. My '07.5 dmax was a measly 365/660.

Mirrors and steps look good. Both are necessities IMO.

The mirrors are a love/hate style.
I do like the Dodge flip up mirrors and have a set of 2nd gen on my GMT400 crewcab.

that look pretty cool Pup,

I like the patio option with the screened in porch type deal on the back, would be nice if the flying insects are out.

Our son has a 2015 Forest River Thunderbolt XLR 401 AMP 5th wheel toy hauler. 3 a/c units, on board generator, gasoline tank for the toys, etc.

It's a big bastard, 44' triaxle, triple slide. He bough brand new and on maiden voyage the main slides start drifting open, hydraulic valves must be bleeding over and the bouncing down the road is causing the landing gear to push open the slides, all same HPU and valve block. Within 6 months or so the bedroom slide started acting up and one side of the rack and pinion has seized up and won't open now. Something with the fireplace failed, think the electronic board and think they mailed him a new one for that.

The big issues he hasn't been able to get it in to get fixed yet, several FR dealers won't work on it since it's too big for their shops and BDRM slide will take some time to fix.

However, you now have a truck capable of handling a trailer like that!

Awning motor went out on mine after 1 trip. Called my dealer and he sent a replacement instead of me having to drag it back in for the repair.

My first trip with my new 1999 Holiday Rambler fifth wheel,  I left the awning out when we took a hike up a mountain. A torrential downpour and the awning was broken and left in pieces by the time we got back. A park ranger helped me take it apart and he took it to their dump. $500 deductible later, we had a new A&E awning. Never made that mistake again.

I roll ours in every night when we are camping just in case. No such thing as a trustworthy forecast these days.

My last awning was ripped off in a thunderstorm with high winds.
It WAS rolled up.

At night I usually lower the awning and tie it down. If in the mountains, winds come through without notice so I listen to the forecast and it's either lowered or rolled up. The last trip to Vermont in late June the awning stayed in the same place the entire week. New Hampshire's White Mountains are very unpredictable.

Going to load the RZR in the Toy Hauler for the Labor Day weekend coming up and hauling it out to Gilmer/Barnwell Mountain in East TX. Gonna get a real feel for how it tows then. Lots of hills out that way. I'll have the truck loaded with ice chests, outdoor cooker and my grill/campfire hootie.

Titan XD would get 7.5mpg or so on that round trip. Interested to see what the Cummins gets doing the same job.

My estimate is 11 or 12 miles per gallon based on past experience. As long as you don't go over the tongue weight you are fine. The difference now is you go whatever speed you want without your truck straining on the hills. I don't drive much over 65 regardless of the platform. Yes, driving without trailer I go a steady 75 on highways.

Tongue weight on the trailer is 1156 empty. RZR loads up behind the axles, so it is reduced with it in it. Buddy has a tongue weight scale that I need to borrow so I can check it loaded.

Only thing you need to worry about is having enough tounge weight so the trailer doesn't sway. Your trailer isn't big enough to strain this tow rig. Low teens would be a what I'd expect, maybe a little more with lower speeds since your only a 2wd SRW truck.
