Going to Jail today.

Another day in Jail. Much different. I had a student taken out of class who became mad when I wouldn't let him draw instead of working on his answer sheet on a story we just read. I gave him a chance for a "cool down" which means he would leave the class and calm down. He wouldn't calm down so I had him expelled from class which mean a loss of privileges. He likes to show off to the others, normal there.
Next I had a 17 year old tell me he murdered someone and was never getting out. They try to rattle you. I told him I never murdered anyone and would be getting out in 2 hours. He laughed and was nice the rest of class. I don't know if he was telling the truth, I don't want to know. I get an attendance sheet that warns me of risks and if they are dangerous. His name wasn't listed as a risk, but the guy I had removed was on the list.

Are there guards in or close to the room?

A guard sits about 2' away from me. The work is easy enough but on down time there is nothing to do as you can't bring in anything from the outside. No books, tablet, cell.

The inmate at the jail go released two weeks ago and I have seen him walk past my house. He dresses like a gangsta, pants down boxers showing, big chain. Not at all what we see in our town. This past week he was arrested for being in an abandoned house with a 29 year old and was charged with being in possession of drugs. The 29 was put in jail, the 18 year old kid up the street was released ROR. I wonder if that will send him back? Hopefully so.

Only when I work at the jail do the students see I have ink. In the rest of the schools (6) I wear long sleeve shirts. Even though I have worked for the district for 3 years, I don't like to show them.

This is one I had recolored this past summer.

I thought you had to pick up a hot metal container with inner forearms to get that tatoo.

Got some color going on there, looks good!

I had that for about 30 years and most of the color was gone. Then a friend did the coloring again last summer. I want the tribal one, but am having a hard time convincing myself to put out the money.
