Huge Fire Extinguisher Recall.

I called Kidde today. 3 out of 4 were on the list as recalls and I have owned them probably longer than I should have. I have another one in my travel trailer but changed into shorts after working outside all morning and didn't want to go back into the cold and look at the serial number. I will do that another day.

It might pay to go to their web site and see if you have the affected models.

Thanks, I have 2 and both are affected. The company is just up the road from me, but mine were made in Mehico, go figure. Worked with a guy many moons ago who worked there for a while. They had a 4400 ton press stamping out the cylinders.

New extinguishers arrived today, way earlier than I expected. Will not hesitate to purchase from them again.

Lucky me, I went out to make sure the snow didn't cover over the driveway, and there were 3 fire extinguishers sitting in the snow on the front porch. It's so cold, the snow didn't even make the boxes wet.

I called the company during the week and told them my son had cut one in half and drilled holes in one of them once he heard they were bad. Customer service said to send it back anyway, they are really taking them back so people won't have trouble disposing them.
