Needs cab corners, floor pans look solid, some wavy panels but good overall.
Has no starter so have not heard it run, maintenance guy helped load it and told me he installed many new parts (which I can see) and the starter was taken for something else and they never replaced it. He did say it ran though, it was after the auction so no reason to lie. Come to think of it they do have a Humvee on site so might have been salvaged for that. Local PD that gets stuff from a military base and resells after 1-2 years to help fund the department.

Been looking at some online sites and think I'll just convert it to a 12V system since the only truck component that was 24V was the starter anyway. Has two 12V alternators so with a little rewiring it have awesome amperage capacity to run a 12V electric winch.

It was one of those deals I just couldn't pass on. Now I'm wondering what to do with it. scratch

I see them at government auctions all the time. I have been tempted but I still have my M- 37. No place to put a project here. I would have to put it at my brothers farm about 25 miles from here. I know I wouldn't want to go back and forth to work on it.
A buddy of mine bought a street legal Humvee at auction and has put a bag load of money into it. He wants it to be just like the last one he had assigned to him during his last of 4 tours in Iraq.

My DD is a '98 S10 Blazer and gets 16-17mpg (237K miles).
If I can get the CUCV to get about that I'd drive it to work.

Thinking front 4" soft ride springs, rear shackle flip and 255/85R16 (33x10.50) would offset the 4.56 gears.

Wasn't your sons school going to work on the M37 at some point?
